Zvezda-Energetika JSC will construct gas engine power station for Portovaya compressor station.

Portovaya compressor station is operated as a part of North Stream pipeline (Gryazovets-Vyborg). Power station will consist of seven Zvezda GP-1500VK-02M3 gas engine power plants with total output of 10.5 MW. The plants are developed on the base of Cummins QSV91G engines. Output voltage is 10.5 kV. The manufacturer and supplier of power equipment is Zvezda-Energetika.
The station will operate in simple cycle in parallel with power grid. Natural gas is the main fuel. The station also includes stand-by emergency Zvezda-630-03-M3 diesel generating set rated at 630 kW. General designer of the station is Giprospetsgas, general contractor is Stroygasconsulting company. The commissioning of the station is planned in the middle of 2011.
Gryazovets-Vyborg pipeline with the length of 917 km was designed for the supply natural gas to North Stream pipeline and to the consumers in North-West regions of Russia. Under the project it will include seven compressor stations.
