The project of boiler house modernization was developed by Belkommunproject Unitary Enterprise. The general contractor is Gomelkotlosrvice JSC.

Quanto C1000 gas engine power plant will generate electric and thermal power for the needs of Oktyabrsky settlement. It was developed on the base of Caterpillar G3516 LE gas engine and SR4B electric generator with voltage of 0.4 kV. Electric output of the station will be 1029 kW.

Hot water with temperature of 75/85 °C will be generated by heat exchange of water-air type. The station will operate on the base mode in parallel with main power grid. The commissioning of the station is planned at the end of 2011. Natural gas will be the main fuel for the station, back-up fuel is diesel. The station has third level of automation.
