MAN Diesel & Turbo has received an order from the independent energy production company Companhia Termolétrica do Espiríto Santo (CTES), a subsidiary of the Brazilian private equity group Brazilian Private Equity, to supply 17 MAN 18V32/40 genset engines for a power plant project in Aracruz in the federal state of Espirito Santo in south-east Brazil. In addition to the engines, the order also includes delivery of mechanical and electrical auxiliary equipment. The MAN gensets generate a total output of 150 MW – enough to supply around 400,000 people in Brazil with electricity. The order is worth Euro roughly 40 million.
