ACWA Power Energy Company has started construction of the 240 MW Khizi-Absheron wind park near Baku. Investments in the project will amount to $300 million. After the commissioning of the wind park it is planned to provide electricity to 300 thousand households. At the same time 220 million m3 of gas will be saved which will reduce 400 thousand tons of СО2 emissions into the atmosphere annually.
