The GTCC project, which is being financed by the World Bank, calls for the refurbishing and modernization of the existing Gomel combined heat and power plant located in the city of Gomel. H-25 gas turbine with a power output of 26 MW was supplied by Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems under the order from China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), the company responsible for EPC of a cogeneration gas turbine combined cycle power plant project Besides the H-25 gas turbine, the GTCC plant will incorporate a steam turbine, waste heat recovery boiler, generator and auxiliary equipment.

The plants are intended for compression and injection of associated petroleum gas into formation. Twelve plants developed on the base of Ariel KBU/6 opposed reciprocating compressors with the drive from Caterpillar G3616LE engines each rated at 3.5 MW. Gas pressure at inlet of gas compressor station is 0.6 MPa, outlet pressure is 28 MPa. Volumetric capacity of each compressor is 23,060 m3/h. The customer of the project is East-Siberian oil & gas company.

The station will be constructed by Zvezda-Energetika JSC on the site of high technology enterprise for the production of confectionery products which is affiliate of KDV-Group. Total electric output of the station will be 12.8 MW, thermal output – 8.9 MW. The station will consist of six MTU 20V4000L33 gas engine power plants each rated at 2,140 kW. The equipment will be installed in easily build modular construction. The station is equipped with six waste-heat boilers. All generated electric and thermal power will be used for technological needs of the enterprise. Zvezda-Energetika will construct the station under turn-key contract. It will be general designer and general contractor of the project. The company will supply all power equipment of the station, will carry out all assembling, civil and commissioning works. After commissioning the station will be connected to power grid of MRSK Center-Voronezhenergo PJSC.
